The Network for a Healthy California—Northcoast Region represents a statewide movement of local, state and national partners collectively working toward improving the health status of low-income Californians through increased fruit and vegetable consumption and daily physical activity.
The program goals of the Network include:
Increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables
Promote daily physical activity
Provide information to improve the nutrition, physical activity and community resource issues and barriers facing the Food Stamp Eligible (FSNE) population including participation in Federal nutrition assistance programs, especially the Food Stamp Program.
To reach these goals, the Network coordinates and implements the following programs:
Children’s Power Play! Campaign
Region Retail Program
Physical Activity Integration Program

Financial assistance is offered on a sliding scale providing access to those unable to pay.
